Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst


A Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst is responsible for ensuring that software applications meet the required standards of quality, performance, and reliability before they are released to users. They play a critical role in the software development lifecycle by identifying defects, conducting tests, and ensuring that the final product is free of issues. Their work helps to enhance user satisfaction and maintain the integrity of the software.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Software Testing: At least 2-3 years of experience in quality assurance or software testing, with a strong understanding of testing methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Testing Tools: Proficiency in using testing tools such as Selenium, JIRA, or TestRail for automated and manual testing.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify issues and suggest improvements effectively.

Job Duties

  • Test Planning: Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on project requirements and specifications.
  • Defect Identification: Identify, document, and track defects and issues found during testing, ensuring they are resolved before release.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide feedback on software functionality.

Responsibilities

  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all software products meet quality standards and are free of defects before deployment.
  • Testing Execution: Conduct various types of testing, including functional, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Documentation: Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of test results, defects, and testing processes for future reference and compliance.
